I don’t know about you, but that last trip around the sun felt different somehow. I suppose that’s a good thing but I could be wrong. 🙂

We didn’t start the fire but we sure know how to fuel it. I believe there is much money to be made on both sides by fueling a culture war. Money is not the root of all evil. That would be love of money. :-/

I wonder sometimes at what point in our lives we go from doing one thing and saying another (usually because our parents caught us and didn’t approve) to saying one thing and doing another. I really hope (although deep down I know it’s true) that it’s not just another symptom of becoming an adult. Is it wrong to have more respect for the former?

The difference between the past and the future is the present.

And I think what one does with the present is what makes most if not all of the difference.

Or, to put it another way, the past and the future would be pretty much the same without the present. 🙂

Our ability to see patterns is both a blessing and a curse.

..that it might take getting further than you’ve gotten to realize anything?

We all have our moments in the sun. Some of us just stay in it longer than others. 🙂

Seeing the big picture is overrated. I would much rather see lots of little pictures. —R-U.S.

The key to longevity just might be remembering how bad the things that made you feel good can be while forgetting the good things that made you feel bad. 🙂
