Your Religion is Special, Just Like All the Others
Christianity got over the difficulty of combining furious opposites, by keeping them both, and keeping them both furious.
—G.K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy
You have to lose your mind to come to your senses.
No matter where I go, there but for the grace of no gods, I am.

Christianity got over the difficulty of combining furious opposites, by keeping them both, and keeping them both furious.
—G.K. Chesterton, Orthodoxy
The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time. What do you get at the end of it? A Death! What’s that, a bonus? I think the life cycle is all backwards. You should die first, get it out of the way. Then you live in an old age home. You get kicked out when you’re too young, you get a gold watch, you go to work. You work forty years until you’re young enough to enjoy your retirement. You do drugs, alcohol, you party, you get ready for high school. You go to grade school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a little baby, you go back into the womb, you spend your last nine months floating… and you finish off as an orgasm. —G.C.
I love the fact that I have the ability to muse even about the silliest things. It makes life worthwhile. 🙂
…There is too much nurturing going on by those who have not finished being nurtured themselves.
—R-U.S.
The Christians gave Him Sunday, the Jews gave Him Saturday, and the Muslims gave Him Friday. God has a three-day weekend. —G.C.
… was an asshole of the first degree.
Oh, and Rehoboam’s pinky was bigger than Solomon’s penis. (1 Kings 12:10-11, King James Version)
What’s up with that?
Don’t confuse me with those who cling to hope. I enjoy describing how things are, I have no interest in how they “ought to be”. And I certainly have no interest in fixing them. I sincerely believe that if you think there’s a solution, you’re part of the problem. My motto: Fuck Hope! —G.C.
Luke 19:27 (English Standard Version-ESV)
27But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slaughter them before me.”
religion is about deciding that some people are different – basically – from other people. We’re not.
This thing about these people – who’re like us. They just do different things from some of us, their religion regardless.
You talk as though Muslim women/men are this way; as though Jewish men/women are this way. That is beyond stupid to say. The category does not exist – Muslim – or ANY kind of man, woman identified by their religion, or nationality, or any of the many other categories by which present controlling civilization has taught us to categorize ourselves/each other.
We’re not like that – !!! any of those!
The interesting point to consider is, who gets bored with continual access to a loved sexual partner ? People stuck on a mountainside in Afghanistan, having run from earthquakes – about 5 years ago, still struggling to survive? People having bombs dropped on them by imperialist invaders? Homeless people, drinking the madness away, sleeping in a doorway? Hungry people? People working two jobs and coming home to do maintenance – housekeeping, to get up the next day to work the two jobs – the housework usually combining child-care?
Who seeks sex entertainment? Who wrote those porn books that ‘the enlightened’ want to pass off as art – the books from the lately hallowed ‘East’?
yeah –
